Apply for Aid
LABMED IS UNABLE TO FUND DOGS WHO HAVE OWNERS. Please do not submit an applicaiton if this dog is your pet. Applying for financial assistance from LABMED is a simple process, but we regret that not all dogs or medical conditions will meet our funding criteria. To determine whether your needy Lab is eligible for financial aid through LABMED, please read our guidelines for funding and application procedures. Once you've confirmed that your dog meets all our requirements, the next step is to fill out a detailed application for assistance. We need to have pictures of the dog to be able to consider funding. In many cases, the decision whether or not to pay the medical bills for a rescue dog is clear. In other situations our choices are more difficult. To make the decision making process as equitable as possible, all applications for funding are discussed at length then voted upon by the LABMED board. The Veterinary Advisory Board of LABMED will also be contacted as necessary to assist us in making the funding decision. Many of our applications come in under emergency circumstances, where the availability of funds could mean life or death for the rescued Labrador. As a result, we do our best to expedite our decision in these situations. So You Rescued a Lab?Check this Frequently Asked Question file for information on what to do. |
