Baby2 - October 2001

Baby2 was a sweet little six month old black lab-mix pup that was hit by a car. A good samaritan took the pup to the vet, but abandoned her there. A vet clinic in Spartanburg, South Carolina wired Baby's jaw back in place and treated her for shock. LABMED was able to fund the cost of the surgery, and the vet clinic discounted prices.

After Baby2 had her jaw repaired, the veterinarian's office called some people who they knew were looking for a pup. The people adopted Baby2 and assumed the costs of the follow-up care and spaying. (The pins and wires had to be removed from Baby's jaw after healing.) Baby2 got a second chance with a nice family thanks to LABMED and a caring vet clinic staff.
