Brewno, March 2002

Brewno is a young, black, male Lab that was picked up as a stray. When all attempts to find his owners were unsuccessful, he was turned over to Central California Labrador Retriever Rescue.

Brewno had heartworms and had to be treated with immiticide. LABMED was happy to fund his second chance at a healthy, happy life.

Many strays are found to have this easily preventable disease. A pill given one time a month prevents the development of heartworms. Because Brewno was otherwise healthy, he was a good candidate for heartworm treatment, though. Once he has recovered from the treatment, Brewno will be ready to find a new family to love.
