Success Stories
Buddy11, August, 2001
Buddy 11 was surrendered to a shelter in Memphis, Tn. at the age of two,
because his former owner was moving. The shelter contacted the rescuer
about this chocolate boy. Buddy had already been neutered and appeared
to have had some training. Unfortunately, he was heartworm positive,
and the rescuer had no funds to treat him. Heartworm prevention is
necessary in most (if not all) parts of the United States. Preventative,
given once a month, would have kept Buddy 11 from having to go through
treatment.
LABMED was able to fund the heartworm treatment for Buddy 11 and give
him his second chance at a happy, healthy life.
