Calvin2, January 2003

Calvin2

An animal control officer in Sacramento County, CA, found a young black male Lab on the side of the road. Calvin had clearly been hit by a car and was seriously injured. A caring vet at the shelter was able to put a splint on Calvin's broken leg and provide pain medication, but surgery by an orthopedic specialist was required for Calvin's leg to heal properly.

Arrangements were made for foster care for Calvin and for assistance in finding him a permanent new home, but funds were needed to help pay for the surgery. LABMED was contacted and we were happy to be able to help this gentle boy on the road to recovery. Now Calvin needs a caring new owner who will keep him safe from speeding cars!
