Genny, October, 2000

Genny was an unwanted Lab wandering the streets of Ohio. She found her way to the home of a nice family. Although this family was not able to keep her, Genny was moved to a foster home where she would be cared for.

The first step was to look for the owners. The rescuer felt Genny must have a family looking for her, but no one answered the "found" ads or posters. It was during this time that Genny had a visit to the vet's office. Genny was heartworm positive!

Genny was given a positive prognosis, and LABMED was contacted for aid. Fortunately LABMED was able to help, and Genny is now heartworm free! She even has a kid to call her own.
