Success Stories
Harley2, April 2002
Harley started out his life in a pet shop. He was only eight months old when the family that
bought him brought him in to the vet. This little chocolate Lab had been hit by a car. The family brought him in to be euthanized, but the vet got them to relinquish him instead. Save-A-Pet Animal
Rescue sought help from LABMED for Harley. Harley had a broken lower jaw and a broken left back leg. The poor fellow was a mess.
LABMED was able to help with emergency funding so that Harley could have surgery on his jaw and leg. The vet used eight pins and some wire and fiberglass to patch Harley's jaw back together. He
also pinned the broken leg. Harley did very well after his surgery and moved into a foster home.
Harley will have another chance at a happy, healthy life with a new family.
