Hershey was found in a shelter in Georgia. The three year old, black Lab was rescued and taken to a vet. He tested positive for heartworm.

This disease is rampant in the South and occurs frequently elsewhere. It is easily preventable by a monthly pill, or an injection administered every six months.

LABMED funded Hershey's heartworm treatment to give this happy boy a second chance. Hershey's tail was a blur in the pictures submitted with his application because it was wagging so fast the camera couldn't catch it.
