Success Stories
Madison2, September, 2001This young, black Lab had been placed in a permanent home by CCLRR two weeks prior. CCLRR had tested her for heartworm and the test came back negative. The labaratory that did the testing had made a mistake in the lab and Madison was heartworm positive! The labaratory contacted CCLRR about the mistake, and LABMED was asked for partial funding for Madison's heartworm treatment. CCLRR and the adoptive family contributed to the funding too. This unusual case of a false negative in the labaratory came to a happy conclusion when LABMED funded Madison's heartworm treatment. At last report, Madison was doing well with her new family.
