Minnie, April 2002

This young, yellow Lab was seen running loose on the highway. Her rescuer stopped and called to her, but a trucker blew his air horn, frightening Minnie into traffic. She was hit by a car and sustained a fractured pelvis. Minnie had a microchip, and her owner was contacted. The owner did not want to care for Minnie's injuries and surrendered her to the rescuer.

Minnie required surgery to repair her pelvic fractures. LABMED helped to fund the cost of Minnie's surgery. A vet student provided foster care. Minnie has a second chance for a happy, healthy life.
