Success StoriesPatch, September 2002
Patch, a 10 month old black Lab, had a rough start to his young life. He was found wandering Brooklyn, NY as a stray, with a fracture to his left metacarpal (wrist). Fortunately, Patch had some luck on his side, as a generous rescuer pulled Patch from the shelter to get treatment for his injuries. Patch’s rescuer came to LABMED for partial funding of his veterinary costs, and after an orthopedic consultation, Patch’s leg was plated. Typical to a young Lab, before and after the surgery, Patch continued to be a happy, upbeat dog. LABMED was happy to fund half of Patch’s surgical costs to repair his leg, and the future looks much, much brighter for this young Lab. |
