Tuffy, September, 2001

Tuffy is a sweet, white-faced yellow boy, turned in to rescue as a result of his owner's divorce. A "gentle giant" of a boy at 6 years old, Tuffy was placed in a foster home, where it was discovered he had problems climbing stairs, running in the yard and jumping up to sleep on the couch. X-rays revealed severe, painful, hip dysplasia requiring surgery. Packerdogs Lab Rescue came to LABMED for help, and one of Tuffy's hips was operated on.

Tuffy is happily recovering with his foster family, and enjoys playing outside, going for rides, and acting like a lapdog while he waits for a forever home of his very own.
