Amigo, August, 1999

Poor Amigo. His family moved to a new home and he just wasn't happy. Amigo, a registered Labrador, was raised on a farm and was always an outside dog. His family moved to a smaller home and smaller yard. Amigo was unhappy.

His family surrendered Amigo to Labrador Rescue of Indiana. He was a very healthy dog except for one thing. His vaccinations hadn't been kept up and he was never on Heartworm Preventative, so Amigo tested positive for heartworm.

The rescue organization could provide a wonderful foster home and assist in finding a permanent placement, however they could not afford the cost of heartworm treatment. They turned to LABMED for assistance and we were happy to be able to help.

One look at those beautiful brown eyes and you know that Amigo can be a true friend.
