Ben, June 2002

After Ben's original owner lost his health, his job, and his home, he relinquished Ben, a three-year-old black male, to a veterinarian he hoped would find Ben a new home. When Ben's plight was complicated by a diagnosis of heartworm infection, however, LABMED became involved. LABMED funded the treatment that cured Ben of heartworms, giving this young lab from Tennessee a second chance for a happy life in a forever home.
