Success StoriesBrody, August, 2001While driving home from a doctor's appointment, this animal lover saw a dog in the middle of the road. She feared he was dead, but her husband saw him move. She quickly made a U-turn and as she was heading toward him, another car ran right over the poor dog. It turned out to be a young, black, Lab mix. When she reached him, he was still alive, so the rescuer took him to the nearest veterinarian. Surprisingly, the only fracture Brody suffered was of the skull. He also had a hematoma (blood clot) on the brain. With prompt treatment for shock and plenty of rest Brody has recovered. LABMED was happy to be able to help with the money needed for the emergency treatment that saved Brody's life. We are also thankful that a member of Pit Bull Rescue in Dallas, Texas cared enough to stop for and take the responsibility of getting emergency treatment for a Lab mix. |
