Success Stories

Murray, September, 1999

Murray Murray was a young dog of 5 months, yet he was alone wandering the streets of L.A. This neighborhood wasn't very safe, not even for a dog! A wrong turn led to a new life for Murray. A nice lady found him as she made a u-turn on her way home from a Los Angeles Dodgers' baseball game.

A trip to the vet detected two problems. The first was ringworm, and this was easily treated. The second was a problem with his hips. Murray was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. A femoral head ostectomy (FHO) was the answer to his problem. Unfortunately this procedure is expensive. The rescuer was paying the bill, and she had made arrangements to pay the balance on a payment plan. In fact, Murray was placed in a new home (renamed Max), but she was still making payments on his vet bill.

This is where LABMED was able to help. LABMED was able to pay the remaining balance of Murray/Max's vet bill. With LABMED's assistance, a young Lab is able to live his life without pain!
