Success Stories

Sullie, January, 1999

Sullie Sullie was an unclaimed stray when the folks at Cumberland SPCA stepped in to give him a second chance. Like many strays, this kind young yellow boy had heartworms. Once again, an easily preventable health problem presented a challenging obstacle for an otherwise healthy and outgoing lab.

Working together, the SPCA, LABMED and a very generous vet (who donated her services and only charged for medications) worked together to get Sullie his heartworm treatment. Sullie has started the treatment and has an excellent prognosis. He will soon be ready to become a permanent part of a loving family.
